For instance, these are used in replacement of conventional compression chillers used for refrigeration, air conditioning, process cooling and heating in industries. STEAM DRIVEN CHILLER

Steam heats the Lithium Bromide which in turn separates it from water solution. Hence, Water Vapour passes into the condenser.Condenser of Absorption Chiller
The warm water vapour then condenses in the cool tubes of the condenser. Here, Water acts as the refrigerant.Evaporator in Absorption Chiller
The Evaporator went to the vacuum stage as the absorber absorbs the water vapour. Since, the water low pressure and low boiling point. So, the cold water (refrigerant) runs over the tubes and boils off. Hence, absorbs the latent heat from the process. Absorber Function Absorber helps to absorb the water vapour into lithium bromide and hence, the cycle keeps on running again and again.

Gas Fired Absorption Chillers are used to feed air handlers. It uses Ammonia, Ammonia Solution and Lithium Bromide in its gas fired absorbers.
